Greenbelt Veterinary Hospital began as a vision for most technologically advanced veterinary hosptial in the Permain Basin.  The design of the hospital was developed by Drs. Green and McConaughey with ideas taken from hospitals around the country who provide the high level of care that was desired for Greenbelt.

 

The Lobby:

Greenbelt Veterinary Hospital offers the client a warm and welcoming environment with a friendly staff well-prepared for any medical care your pet may be needing. 

 

Exam Rooms:

   The hospital has 5 exam rooms which aids in eliminating long wait times.  The exam rooms are spacious enough for large dogs to feel comfortable and not crowded, yet intimate enough to respect an owners' privacy.

 

Pharmacy/Lab:

Past the spacious lobby and behind the exam room door lies a fully equipped pharmacy and progressive laboratory.  The laboratory houses only the most modern equipment which allows almost all blood testing to be performed in-house with results while you wait.  We offer complete in-house pre-anesthetic screening everyday to insure the highest level of safety for our surgery patients. 

 

 

Treatment Area:

The treatment room includes 2 treatment areas and a fully equipped ICU for hospitalized patients.  The ICU area is under constant supervision with animals monitored very closely.   It also includes our state-of-the-art radiology suite, which includes whole body and dental digital radiography, plus ultrasound.

 

Surgery:

The surgical suite offers modern technology in both surgical and monitoring equipment which parallels what is found in human hospitals.  The hospital has three pulse oximeters, a blood pressure unit and a Bionet surgical monitor.  Pulse oximeters monitor respiratory rate, heart rate and oxygen levels.  The Bionet surgical monitor measures ECG, temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and oxygen levels.  These measurements help to accurately detect the level of anesthesia and identify problems that might occur.  Early detection can help minimize negative side effects.  All surgery patients receive personal care from their very own technician who is with them throughout the day and their procedure.  The technician monitors the anesthesia very closely and never leaves the side of their patient.   Clients can be confident their veterinarian and attending technician will continue to diligently monitor their pet's progress during the patient's recovery.

 

Recovery/Hospitalization Wards:

Separate canine and feline hospitalization wards allow all patients to feel comfortable and at ease while being treated by the staff at Greenbelt.  Each patient has his or her own room where our staff attends to them, while they are in our care.  The doctors encourage visiting your pet to help speed their recovery.
