Hospital Policies

Appointment Policy

Walk-In clients are welcome, however appointments are preferred.  This allows us to better schedule our day, which results in less wait time for you!

Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, followed by previously scheduled appintments.  After that walk-ins will be seen, as they can be worked into the appointment schedule.

Missed Appointment Policy

At Greenbelt Veterinary Hospital, your scheduled appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and your pet.  Greenbelt does not overbook appointment times. We believe optimal veterinary care can be provided only if we have enough time set aside to adequately examine and diagnose your pet, then discuss treatment options in detail with you.

We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling needs.  In return, we ask that you help us by keeping your

scheduled appointments, arriving on time, and notifying us a minimum of four (4) business hours in advance if you are

unable to do so.  When Greenbelt receives advance notice of cancellations, we are able to avoid lost revenue and

misspent employee time.  More importantly, we are able to accommodate other patients needing care.  Failure to

comply with this policy will necessitate the assessment of the following fees:

·         First missed appointment – Our staff will call to ensure you and your pet are all right and to reschedule your appointment.

·         Second missed appointment You will receive a letter stating this is your second missed appointment and that you have been charged a  Missed Appointment Fee ($25.00).

·         Third missed appointment – A letter will be mailed informing you that you have now missed three appointments and you have been charged another Missed Appointment Fee ($25.00).

·         Further missed appointments – Further missed appointments will require immediate payment of our Standard Fee for Doctor’s Visit ($44.50).  This fee must be paid prior to scheduling any future appointments.

Hospital In-Patient Cancellation Policy

Because we must limit the number of in-patient procedures scheduled each day, Greenbelt reserves the right to charge a $75.00 Ploicy Non-Compliance Fee for any hospital in-patient appointment not canceled a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Late Arrivals Policy

Appointments involving clients arriving more than ten minutes late may be considered "Missed Appointments" and may need to be rescheduled.  If you think you are going to be late for your appointment, please call us to determine if your late arrival can be accomodated or if you will need to reschedule.

ALL ABOVE FEES WILL BE ASSESSED PER PET IN CASES

OF MULTIPLE PET APPOINTMENTS.
